  • Designed and instructed a course in First-Year Writing (English 101), which involved creating original projects, planning a course schedule, and producing course materials, such as schedule and syllabus.

  • Adapted the class to focus on instructional technologies and online course delivery, which included recording video lectures, creating visual aids, and designing online discussion forums.

  • Worked closely with students through Zoom conferencing and the online learning platform Moodle.

  • Produced a historical documentary

  • Conducted archival and internet research, interviewed various affiliated individuals, wrote a script for film voice-over, and edited audio and video footage via Avid software.

  • Worked with a team to film an educational program; acted as research assistant and production crew.

  • Awarded the English Honor Key Medal from the Clemson University Department of English, which is presented to the English major with the highest academic standing in the graduating class.

  • Named to the President’s list six consecutive semesters at Clemson University.

  • Named to the President’s List four consecutive semesters at Tri-County Technical College.

  • Received both the Joel W. Collins Sr. Student Assistant Endowment in English and the Wright Bryan Memorial Scholarship for academic achievement while attending Clemson University.

  • Received Outstanding Student Award in both the Associates in Arts and Humanities categories at Tri-County Technical College in 2016.

  • Won first place in the Storytelling category at the South Carolina Speech and Theatre Association Tournament in 2015.
